MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Flying in from Singapore, world-renowned Innovation Guru and Author, Scott D. Anthony demystified Innovation and Disruption for businesses during Innovation Conference 2016 held last October 05, 2016 at Fairmont Hotel, Makati City, PH.
Innovation Conference 2016, a one-day learning event organized by Fiera de Manila, Inc., geared towards understanding the changing business landscape and developing initiatives to manage disruption and jumpstart innovation.
The first two sessions, Scott Anthony discussed two key topics: Solving the Transformation Equation and Tips and Tricks from the Trenches of Innovation. After these two sessions, he was joined by Dr. Ricardo A. Lim, PhD., Professor from the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) and Vincent G. Tobias, Innovation Lead of Ayala Corporation for a panel discussion. Both academic and industry practitioner affirmed Scott Anthony’s innovation paradigm.
In the afternoon, Anthony talked about ‘The First Mile’ and the ‘Myths and Realities of the Culture of Innovation’. These sessions were followed by three case study presentations on innovation initiatives by PH business leaders, such as, Dr. Anurag Mistra, PhD., Head of Transformation and Innovation of Accenture PH, Henry Rhoel R. Aguda, Senior Vice-President and Chief Transformation Officer of UnionBank, and Dindo Marzan, Managing Director of hatch and Vice-President of Voyager Innovations, Inc.
The conference was attended by 105 senior-level executives by top companies including Ayala Corporation, UnionBank, SN Aboitiz Power-Magat Inc., PNB Savings Bank, GMA New Media, Inc., RCBC Bankard Services Corporation, Security Bank Corporation, First Gen Corporation, Coca-Cola Far East Limited, Intellicare, Petnet, Inc., Trends and Technologies, Inc., Pacific Union Insurance Company, Pilmico, Lear Automotive Services, Novartis Healthcare Philippines, Inc., SGV&Co., Petron Corporation, ABS-CBN, and Nuworks Interactive Labs, amongst others.
The Resource Speaker and Expert, Scott D. Anthony, has been recognized as an innovator through his books, the latest being ‘The First Mile: A Launch Manual for Getting Great Ideas Into the Market’ and his contributions to Harvard Business Review. He has also been a finalist for Thinker50 Innovation Award in 2015.
Currently based in Singapore, he is the Managing Partner of Innosight, leading Asian consulting operations and its venture-capital investment activities. He is also on the Board of Directors of MediaCorp, a diversified media company and chairs the investment committee for IDEAS Ventures.
