NEW Photoshop CS6: Powerful Retouching & Manipulation Made Easy

The session will focus on Photoshop CS6 techniques that you can use when retouching images. The main focus will be on professional retouching and manipulation techniques, showing you the differences between, and individual application of spot healing brush (enhanced by Content-Aware function), clone stamp, healing brush and patch tools, to take full advantage of their capabilities. Also learn to use blending modes and brush techniques to specifically target your retouching work to remove blemishes and spot-imperfections and adjust skin tones. Create backdrops with Content-Aware Fill and combine them with photo elements. Puppet Warp allow for flexible retouching impossible with previous version. More new functions make difficult editing easy with Photoshop CS6.

Audience: This session is a must for photographers and designers who work with photos that need retouching, enhancement and more dramatic effects.

Advanced Photoshop CS6: Essential Color and Tonal Correction

Want to ensure the quality of your photographs and images? This session will show you how professionals implement color and tonal correction. The focus is on maintaining and enhancing image tone, contrast and color. Transform flat photographs into images that jump off the printed page. Learn to understand and master curves and levels for reliable color correction. Explore Photoshop’s essential blending modes and adjustment layer masking to locally enhance images. An overview of Color Theory and Color Management will be given. The Color Sampler tool, the Shadows/Highlights command, and how to Neutralize Color Cast using Curves will also be explained.

Audience: Graphic artists and photographers who want to learn professional correction procedures.

Mario Ramirez is an experienced instructor and speaker in the field of graphics software applications. He is an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE) and Adobe Certified Instructor (ACI) for Photoshop CS6. He teaches Photoshop to designers, photographers, business professionals as well as casual users. He is on the faculty of the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging (PCCI), the only Adobe Authorized Training Center (AATC) in the Philippines. He has taught at the ISO-certified MMLDC training facility and at The Garage: Jescom Creative Technologies, the Ateneo De Manila University in Katipunan.

Aside from teaching at PCCI, he regularly presents at prestigious conventions like the Graphic Expo and DLSU-D Graphic Convention.

Studied electrical engineering at Mapua Institute of Technology, and never thought he would end up as a graphic designer. After college, Tony decided to explore his artistic skills and worked as an artist for a garments factory, designing shirt graphics. He has never looked back since then as he became a designer for the last 15 years. Tony has worked as a freelance consultant/designer for Fiera de Manila, Inc., Bozell, Basic FCB, Campaigns and Grey, and Leo Burnett, and as a full-time designer for Pixel Magic and Gimenez Group. He has art directed photo shoots for BPI and Equitable, and is an experimental photographer in his own right. Tony is an instructor at the Philippine Center for Creative Imaging.

Professional Photographer, Web Designer and Educator with clients, such as, Filinvest Land, Cebuana Lhuillier, San Miguel Yamamura, Secosana Bags to name a few.

Rey Mendoza is one of the few pioneer photographers specializing on 360 virtual tours, a 360 degree photography field usually used by real estate companies. He shoots food, products, events, architecture and also teaches photography, computer graphics and 2D animation at Multi-Media Arts of Lyceum Laguna and DLSU-College of St. Benilde on the topics of Photoshop, Web Design and Graphic Design.

He is the Adobe User Group Manager for Philippines which manages the online group and monthly meetings of Adobe users in Manila.

His previous professional positions were Department Head, Senior Webmaster at DLSU Manila, User Experience Designer at Accenture Philippines, Web Consultant at University of Santo Tomas.
