Nerissa is a practicing Management Consultant, Business, Executive & Career Coach aside from being a Special Lecturer/Facilitator with the Certified Management Consultants Council of the Philippines, The Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Philippines and the People Management Association of the Philippines.

Nery used to be connected with Isla Lipana and Co. (formerly Joaquin Cunanan and Co. ) also known as PricewaterhouseCoopers Phils. (PwC).

Her governance, risk management and compliance consultancy work covered institutionalizing the risk management functions in organizations, conducting interventions like risk control culture surveys to determine across the organization risk appetite, training on risks and controls self assessment, a typical mechanism to implement enterprise wide management (ERM) training of risk officers, training of auditors on ‘risk based approach to internal auditing” integration of risk management into corporate or business planning, identification of inputs to create risk management databases and risk libraries. Other consulting work related to governance and risk management are formalizing across the company compliance policies and procedures, through social compliance effectiveness reviews, creating and formalizing whistle blowing process in organizations.

Nery undertook graduate studies in Business Administration at De La Salle University and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of the East.

Maria Genalyn has solid experience guiding enterprise level program initiatives in a multi-cultural and cross-functional environment. Her expertise lies in conceptualizing and implementing IT strategies that aligned program goals with overarching business objectives, leading concurrent project teams through all phases of project and system development lifecycle (SDLC), and problem solving.

She started out as Systems Analyst/Developer for Data Center Operations at Chemical Industries of the Philippines. In 1993, she joined Avon Cosmetics, Inc. as Senior Systems Analyst, then Applications Development. She rose from the ranks and went on to become Head of IT Philippines. She then went on to become Avon’s APAC IT Transformation / Project Portfolio Management Office (PPMO) Lead.

In this capacity, Genalyn, influenced, conceptualized, and implemented IT Solutions for the Regional Fashion and Home Marketing & Supply Chain group, this led to process efficiency, timely replenishment of products and minimized out of stock situation. She directed and managed project portfolio planning at the APAC region (South East Asia, India, China, Taiwan and Australia), resulted in 100% business alignment, 100% SOX audit compliance, 90% on-time completion, and 97% Time Tracking tool adaption.

Genalyn finished her degree in B.S. Mathematics, major in Computer Science at the University of Santo Tomas. She graduated cum laude.
