that the 12th Conference of
the Road Engineering Association
of Asia and Australasia will
be held in Manila, Philippines
on November 20-24, 2006. Coinciding
events will be the 5th Heads
of Road Authorities (HORA),
and the regular REAAA Governing
Council Meetings.
Included in
the scheduled activities during
the conference are special sessions,
workshops, including technical
presentations on topics relevant
to Road Engineering and related
professions.
As REAAA President
and Undersecretary of the Department
of Public Works and Highways,
the national government charge
in planning, programming, maintaining
and constructing roads in the
Philippines, I am cordially
inviting road engineers and
other related professionals
in Asia, Australasia and other
Regions worldwide to come to
the Philippines and participate
in the special event, the 12th
REAAA Conference.
Jointly hosted
by the Department of Public
Works and Highways (DPWH), the
Road Engineering Association
of the Philippines (REAP), and
the Road Engineering Association
of Asia and Australasia-Philippine
Chapter, preparations are being
undertaken to ensure that your
attendance will be professionally
enriching with enhanced knowledge
on road engineering; and a most
pleasurable interlude with deep
and lasting impressions on our
country’s breathtaking
sights and the Filipino people’s
friendship and hospitality.
