Adobe Photoshop CS4 Beyond the Basics

NOW is the time for you to go to the next level. Learn advanced techniques and more powerful features of Photoshop that increases your skills and productivity. Topics include Advanced Selections using masks and advanced layers to create montage-images. Learn the Pen tool to create precise selections and curve-fitting Type. Color Enhancement shows the use of Adjustment panels (Levels, Curves) to remove color cast, improve contrast, and prevent color shifts. Master the use of Channels to create different Grayscale conversions, sharpen images and minimize digital noise. Advanced Retouching focuses on effective editing and retouching techniques. This includes the use of Blending Modes and brush techniques with the Clone stamp, Healing brushes and Patch tools to remove blemishes and spot-imperfections, and adjust skin tones. Power-User Features produce amazing results; Vanishing Point to repair or enhance perspectives and enhance 3D-based images, Extract to replace backgrounds behind difficult "fly away" hair, Liquify for shaping images, Auto-Align to create panoramas and merge images, and Content-Aware-Scale to apply different amounts of scaling on images. Now you can accept projects that you couldn't before.
