Animation studios, production houses, schools & universities, and training institutes are
invited to join and submit entries to the 2nd Annual Animation Competition held during the
8th Graphic Expo 2003 on June 04-07, 2003.
Categories: Student/Amateur Level and Professional Level
Theme: 'Century of the Pacific'
Contest Rules:
Participants should only use 3D Studio Max software.
Concept based on theme should be original 3D animation, entertaining, no logos and
brand names, no use of foul action and language.
Running time for the animation entry should be 2 minutes.
For preliminary judging, submit a story board with description and sketches of animation
concept on or before April 16, 2003.
Entries should include name of company/school/training institutes, contact person, telephone,
fax, email, mobile number.
Copyright infringement will not be allowed and list of sources of audio-video materials used
should be submitted with the entries.
Entries should be in CD Rom format using Quicktime with 1024 x 768 resolution, no compression.
Audio format should be in 44khz 16 bits stereo.
Final entries will be submitted on May 23, 2003.
Judging of Entries and Criteria:
Final judging will be scheduled on June 04, 2003 at 11:00am in Graphic Expo.
Awarding and announcement of winners will take place during the Opening Ceremonies
of Graphic Expo on June 04, 2003, 4pm.
Criteria for final judging: content, technical skill, innovation, artistic merit,
originality & creativity of concept.

Professional Level
